From smartphones to laptops, media consumption has become a seamless part of both personal and academic routines. This essay examines my daily media usage habits, including the devices and platforms I engage with, compares my habits with those of my peers, and explores both the positive and negative effects of media on my personal and academic life. My media usage is primarily facilitated through two  devices: my smartphone and my laptop. Both devices serve as a different purpose throughout the day. My smartphone is my main tool for quick communication, social media browsing, and news consumption.
